About Ryan

I'm an internal medicine physician, cardiologist, and cardiac imager practicing full-time at Nashville General Hospital, where I serve as Director of Echocardiography and Director of Cardiovascular Education.

I grew up in San Francisco during the tech booms and busts of the 90s and 2000s. During that era, my mother was an engineer who joined seven startups — many of them had awesome technology, incredible promise, and all of them failed. That shaped how I think about health-tech today.

The pattern I see over and over: products fail not because the idea is weak, but because they're built too far from clinical reality. By the time real clinical input arrives, it's too late.

This is my attempt to close that gap — earlier, and more honestly.
